Position: IT Clinical Informaticist – Dental Support
  • Assist with implementing new informatics solutions and support existing systems
  • Provide ongoing EHR training and support to healthcare staff
  • Develop and deliver educational materials and training sessions for end users
  • Identify and resolve clinical software application issues
  • Conduct routine system maintenance and identify improvement and optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with clinicians, IT personnel, and other stakeholders to gather needs and customize informatics solutions
  • Facilitate communication between clinical and technical teams
  • Test, implement, and maintain informatics solutions and decision-support tools
  • Assess clinical software performance before and after code changes
  • Execute test cases for new software functionalities
  • Stay informed about informatics best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for night and weekend clinical application support when required
  • Travel occasionally to SEARHC locations
Requirements
  • 2 years of higher education in healthcare, technology, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Progressively responsible professional work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education
  • 3 years' experience or 5 years of experience in lieu of education
  • Experience working in a medical/clinical setting
  • Clinical experience using electronic health records and supporting related workflows
  • Experience as a teacher/educator
  • Experience training new users/staff in processes, workflows, or use of systems
  • Experience implementing or maintaining information systems
  • Process or workflow analysis, design, and improvement experience
  • Demonstrated competence with computer technology and information systems
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact successfully with multidisciplinary teams
  • Occasional travel to SEARHC sites (
