• Current National Sign Language Interpreter Certification
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in K-12 schools preferred
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and student needs
• Positive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusivity

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating clear and effective communication between students, staff, and the school community
• Supporting instructional activities by interpreting classroom discussions, assignments, and announcements
• Assisting with extracurricular events, meetings, and parent conferences as needed
• Maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality in all interpreting assignments
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure students' needs are met
• Providing input to help adapt materials and approaches for optimal learning
