Job SummaryUnder the direction of Big G’s management team, the Instrument technician will be responsible for performing highly skilled maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting involved with oil and gas related systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical/oilfield related controls, transmitters, transducers, and other industrial electronic and pneumatic devices. In addition, experience with instrument air tube bending, Swagelok fittings, and new equipment install/commissioning is also strongly desired.
The candidate must also be confident in their ability to use hand and power tools in an effective and safe manner while completing daily tasks during employment. The successful applicant will be working on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.
- Bend tubing.
- Can read P&IDs, Loop Diagrams, etc.

Qualifications- Strong safety focus
- Self-motivated ability to work alone and in a team environment
- Ability to climb straight ladders on vessels/tanks
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be eligible for work in the US
Marathon Refinery in Kenai, Alaska.
