Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose of Position:
Repair and maintain all equipment associated with camp facility.
Educational Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience and Background:
- Performs all tasks safely and in a timely manner.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) yearsindustrial maintenance experience (training may be substituted for experience on a case by case basis), preferably in a hotel environment.
- Extensive knowledge and skills to perform preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs on: hotel/kitchen, electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation and mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, have good math and carpentry skills.
- Team player and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both oral and written and follow instructions.
Certificates, Licensesand Requirements:
- Must be licensed in plumbing
- Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria.
- Forklift training preferred
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card preferred, not required
- HVAC training – preferred, not required
- Refrigeration training – preferred, not required
- Previous CMMS experience – preferred, not required
- Pass pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, background check and computer-based testing.
- Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.
- Ability to lift & carry 50 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services, as well as urban community services.
