The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions is recruiting for a Criminal Justice Technician 1/2 position for Wildwood Correction Center (WCC) located in Kenai, Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:- Manage all incoming and outgoing inmate property, including organization of the secured property rooms and regular inventory duties.
- Maintains meticulous records, including both computerized and hard copies and thoroughly scrutinizing all property for potential contraband.
- Investigate allegations of lost or damaged property, which includes gathering documentation on inmate’s movement history, current inventories, commissary orders, transfer receipts and contacting other facilities for relevant documentation.
- Manage abandoned or excess property to include mailing or disposing of property according to the Department policies.
- Assist with the maintenance of inmate records such as court judgments, booking records, classifications or disciplinary paperwork.

Wildwood Correctional Complex houses approximately 470 prisoners, is located three miles north of Kenai, and is in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The complex consists of a long-term sentenced facility, a pre-trial facility, and a transitional program facility.
