Position: Equipment Operator, Journey 2 (PCN 251018) Kenai

What you will be doing

As part of a maintenance crew, you will operate heavy and light‑duty equipment, maintain vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, bike paths and road surfaces, perform traffic control duties, and conduct snow and ice removal using plows, sanders and graders. You will be assigned to the North Kenai maintenance station.

Working environment

This position is part of the North Kenai maintenance crew and involves year‑round highway maintenance tasks within the Peninsula District.

Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class

    A.
  • Must obtain an N‑Tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience operating and servicing heavy and light‑duty equipment.
  • Ability to perform snow and ice removal, traffic control, and maintenance of roadway structures.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend and work outdoors in Alaska’s climate.
