LOCAL CDL B Driver

Position: CDL B Driver (Open)

Airgas is seeking a CDL B Driver to provide safe, efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and returning cylinders while maintaining customer relationships.

• Pay: $27.50-$34.00 per hour for CDL A License holders
• 40-45 hour work week, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends
• Sign‑on bonus: $2,500

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies
• Maintain courteous & professional relationships with customers
• Support timely deliveries
• Secure and unsecure cylinders safely
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; the role is physically active and hands‑on
• Frequent entry and exit from vehicle
• A day in the life of an Airgas driver:

• Valid Class B CDL or A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Drivers without a HAZMAT endorsement must obtain it within 60 days of hire
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two traffic convictions, or no more than two at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than one traffic conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance within the last seven years
• Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment
• Must be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with aid of material handling equipment
• One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of completion of a trucking school within last 12 months

• Forklift experience
