Traffic Management Technician

We're looking for a Traffic Management Technician to join our Traffic Management Team, supporting the coordination and processing of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) across Westmorland and Furness.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll use your organisation and communication skills to review applications, maps and traffic management proposals. You'll work with colleagues, utility companies, contractors, event organisers and members of the public to help ensure activities on the highway can take place safely and efficiently.

Processing applications for temporary road closures, traffic restrictions and other TTROs across the Westmorland and Furness highway network.

Coordinating with applicants, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure safe and effective traffic management.

Reviewing applications, maps and supporting information, and working with colleagues to resolve queries and ensure temporary restrictions are processed correctly.

Helping to deliver over 1,000 TTROs each year, supporting communities, businesses and the local economy.
