Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Rambam Day School, our Early Childhood classrooms are places of wonder, connection, and joy. We believe that young children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and truly known—and the same is true for the educators who guide them.

We are looking for caring, curious, and collaborative Early Childhood Associate Teachers who are passionate about nurturing young children during these formative years. At Rambam, you’ll be part of a warm, supportive community that values relationships, teamwork, and the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

If you are someone who delights in children’s questions, believes play is powerful, and wants to grow as an educator alongside a dedicated team, we would love to welcome you.

Our Approach to Early Learning
  • A play- and project-based curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking
  • Small class sizes that allow for meaningful relationships and individualized attention
  • A child-centered environment that nurtures independence, confidence, and leadership
  • Honoring diverse learning styles and developmental pathways
  • Building strong partnerships with families to support each child’s growth
Your Role

As an Early Childhood Associate Teacher, you will:

  • Help create a respectful, nurturing, and joyful learning environment—both indoors and outdoors
  • Invite children into the learning process by encouraging curiosity, exploration, and safe risk-taking
  • Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining consistent routines that foster security and engagement
  • Prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of every child
  • Assist in delivering developmentally appropriate, differentiated instruction that meets individual needs
  • Support ongoing assessment of student growth through observations, documentation, and conference reports

In partnership with the Lead Teacher and Early Childhood team, you will:

  • Support the design and implementation of integrated, interdisciplinary projects connected to age-appropriate skills
  • Provide engaging daily activities and provocations that spark hands‑on learning and discovery
  • Help create and maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom that encourages independence
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to design curriculum that reflects Jewish values and traditions
  • Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and child development
  • Create meaningful documentation of learning to share with families, colleagues, and visitors

Contribute to the development of individual child portfolios that capture each child’s unique journey
What We’re Looking For
  • A genuine love for working with young children and supporting diverse learners
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate instructional methods
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
  • Comfort working collaboratively with colleagues and communicating thoughtfully with families
  • Proficiency with basic technology and educational tools (email, documents, presentations, etc.)
  • Comfort using both PC and Apple devices to support learning
  • Completion of DCF 45 hours and CPR/First Aid certification
  • A CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Why Rambam?

Because at Rambam Day School, you are valued as a whole person, not just a teacher. We believe that when educators feel supported, connected, and inspired, children thrive. Here, your voice matters, your growth is encouraged, and your work makes a real difference every day.

Come nurture curiosity, build relationships, and belong with us.
