As an EHR Project Manager at Gastro Health, your role is vital in overseeing the implementation and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) system. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the EHR project, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Your strong project management skills, knowledge of EHR systems, and ability to drive change contribute to the successful adoption and utilization of the EHR system.

EHR Project Manager responsibilities are:
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of EHR projects involving planning, workflow analysis, configuration, design, and training of EHR software enhancements.
  • Delivers on set deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of multiple projects in unison.
  • Oversees database configuration ensuring all dependent workflows (RCM, Reporting/Analytics, Interfaces, MIPS, HIPAA/Compliance, Accreditation, Product Activation within eCW) are accounted for in the design.
  • Proactively creates plan of action to remedy existing opportunities for optimization.
  • Ensures appropriate resources are available to provide training, support and successful handoff to internal support team.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders ensuring dependent project timelines are met and communicated.
  • Monitors performance of systems and processes; identifies and resolves problems; prepares and completes action plans; completes audits ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Prepares department performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Co‑ordinates department tasks and special projects to ensure quality and timelines are met.
  • Serves on committees as department representative.
  • Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing projects and exploring opportunities to add value.
Education/Training (or equivalent):
  • H.S. Diploma, College Degree, Certification/License – desirable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
  • 5 years of healthcare experience specializing in EHR configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Experience in basic financial analysis (cost‑effectiveness, cost‑benefit, etc.).
