Kendall, FL | Servicing Miami-Dade & Broward Counties
$35-$42/hour | Full-Time | Field-Based

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Commercial Chiller & HVAC-R Technician to join a growing service team supporting commercial and industrial clients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. This position is ideal for an experienced technician with a strong background in commercial HVAC diagnostics, repairs, installations, and chiller systems who is looking for a long-term opportunity with strong earning potential, overtime opportunities, and career stability.

The ideal candidate is capable of independently troubleshooting complex HVAC-R systems, communicating professionally with customers, and completing service work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards and safety compliance.

Commercial Chiller & HVAC Service Tech

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC-R equipment and systems
  • Service and maintain chillers, rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, refrigeration systems, heat pumps, condensers, and associated mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repair service calls
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical system failures
  • Recover, charge, and handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
  • Install and replace commercial HVAC systems and related components
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot programmable and smart thermostats
  • Perform brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, and ductwork modifications as required
  • Conduct ventilation testing and airflow balancing to optimize system performance
  • Utilize gauges, meters, leak detectors, and HVAC diagnostic tools to evaluate equipment operation
  • Perform load calculations and assist with proper system sizing and efficiency recommendations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts
  • Ensure all work is completed according to local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Maintain accurate service reports, repair documentation, and material usage records
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and internal teams regarding system status and repair recommendations
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on commercial HVAC-R experience
  • Strong experience with commercial diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, and system installations
  • Chiller experience REQUIRED
  • Experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems and RTUs preferred
  • MUST speak fluent English
  • Spanish bilingual is a strong plus
  • Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • Experience with smart HVAC systems, controls, or BAS/BMS systems is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • MUST pass background screening and drug test
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to safely lift equipment and work in varying indoor/outdoor environments
Compensation & Benefits
  • $35–$42/hour based on experience
