What you’ll do

The Brass Tacks

  • Oversee day-to-day night operations of the property, including front desk operations, and financial reconciliation and reporting.
  • Ensure front office activities and services meet or exceed established standards and goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.
  • Assist guests, team members, and vendors during shifts.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.
  • Report security concerns promptly to the General Manager or appropriate party.
  • Respond to and resolve guest issues and concerns as necessary.
  • Evaluate patterns or trends in guest concerns to plan and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide regular and ongoing communication with all departments to keep staff informed of updates and changes.
  • Park and retrieve guest cars safely in accordance with lodge standards.
  • Escort incoming/outgoing lodge guests to/from rooms, assist with luggage, and share information on services and facilities.
  • Maintain the image of the hotel by appearing well-groomed and in dress code.
  • Ensure front office, reception area, lobby and storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used as intended.
  • Complete property walks to monitor guest safety and security.
  • Deliver suitcases, packages, and documents as requested.
  • Assist in de-icing of pavement and other areas as applicable; provide umbrellas as necessary.

Maintains safety and security of guests and team members at all times and in all weather conditions in valet parking areas.

Qualifications
  • Strong driving record; must be 21+; valid driver license with annual MVR review.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission and parallel park; other technical driving skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year hospitality experience required; 2 years hotel/clerk experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in cash handling and computerized Point of Sale systems preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of labor and industry-specific laws and regulations.
  • Ability to park and retrieve guest vehicles; secure property by patrolling hallways to ensure doors are locked.
  • Basic negotiation and strong customer relations skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

The Lodge ard Park is located in Washington’s state parks. The hotel is surrounded by natural beauty, including Lake Washington, lush greenery, and walking trails. The property opened in May 2021 and features 84 guestrooms and suites, a farm-to-table restaurant, two bars, a spa, a fitness center, and more.
