Job Description & How to Apply Below

Need to take a breath and remember why we chose this profession? Come join the team at Angelus Urgent Veterinary Care in Kennebunk, Maine!

Interested in something different, something off the beaten path? Looking for a fun team in a great location with room to grow? As an independently owned practice, we aim to be an extension of the family veterinarian and the critical care facility. Our goal is to provide quality care for our clients and patients at a time when they need assurance and comfort.

It is very important that we remember why we chose this field, and working as part of this team with a varied caseload makes all the difference. We operate strictly as an outpatient clinic, provide laboratory/imaging services through the Idexx suite, and are equipped for minor procedures but we are not a wellness or surgical facility. Angelus Urgent Veterinary Care is located within a vibrant community of general practices and wonderful emergency and referral facilities to the north and south for cases that require more advanced care than we can provide.

Our well experienced technical team is seeking a part-time associate veterinarian. Our current hours are 12-8 pm, seven days a week, and schedules for our new associate will involve set hours and very flexible 2-3 day work week, but will include rotational weekends. A competitive hourly wage, uniform stipend, CE allowance, including licensure and DEA are also being offered with this position.

We are located in the center of Kennebunk with short commutes to Portland and Boston, wonderful beaches and the White Mountains.

Qualified applicants should have

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Maine Veterinary License, in good standing (or eligibility)
  • DEA license (or eligibility)

Applicants should be:

  • Able to working in a variously paced environment with independence
  • Available for weekdays and weekend coverage
  • Open to teamwork, knowledge sharing, and leading through kindness
