White Bark Property Management is seeking a talented Mason focused Construction & Property Improvements on to join our growing maintenance and construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a craftsperson who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to high-quality residential and commercial properties across Maine.
We’re looking for someone experienced in brick, block, stone, and concrete work
, who can handle everything from structural repairs to detailed restoration and finishing.
- Build, repair, and restore masonry structures including walls, walkways, foundations, chimneys, stairs, and decorative features.
- Perform tuck pointing, repointing, patching, and mortar repair to ensure long-term durability and appearance.
- Lay out, measure, and cut materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Mix mortar and concrete to proper consistency based on project needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine materials and installation methods.
- Inspect existing masonry for damage or deterioration and recommend the right repair approach.
- Prepare, clean, and finish work surfaces.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site and properly care for tools and equipment.
- Work closely with maintenance staff, contractors, and property managers to plan and execute projects.
- Provide accurate estimates for labor, materials, and timelines when needed.
- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
- Proven professional experience as a Mason with a strong work history and/or portfolio of completed jobs.
- Expertise in brick, block, stone, and concrete work, including laying, pointing, patching, and restoration techniques.
- Strong understanding of masonry materials, tools, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and project plans.
- Proficiency with masonry tools such as trowels, levels, chisels, saws, mixers, and grinders.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and safety protocols.
- High attention to detail, strong craftsmanship, and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Reliable communication skills, professionalism, and a problem‑solving mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training, apprenticeship experience, or certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors or indoors for extended periods.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions and on active job sites.
- Manual dexterity and strong hand–eye coordination.
