Day Camp Director

To supervise Day Camp Staff, Campers and activities at Kenner Parks and Recreation Day Camp.

Leisure Service Supervisor

To supervise Day Camp Counselors and Campers at Kenner Parks and Recreation Day Camp. Coordinate camp schedules, onsite activities, field trips, etc. planned by Leisure services as well has creating their own to fill in between the daily activities. To be the representative for the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department at day camp for the interpretation of the rules and regulations.

To be responsible to report and handle to Kenner Parks and Recreation Department any problems that may occur during camp.

Will be required to work at assigned location of Day Camp. Work hours will be determined by schedule set for day camp by the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department, Leisure Service Division.

This individual must be able to read and to be able to comprehend directions from the Leisure Service Manager concerning various rules and regulations set forth by the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department, Leisure Service Division. Must be able to act as a mediator and supervisor if a dispute occurs during camp.

All day camp equipment and supplies.

Standing, bending and moving constantly during camp time. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Must be able to communicate in English both orally and in writing. Must be able to comprehend verbal or written direction and instructions from the Leisure Service Manager.

To be able to monitor and respond in a responsible manner in various situations and to maintain an objective attitude, tact and discretion under these conditions. Must be age 21 or older. Experience in a leadership role and experience with working with children.

Teacher with a B.S. in Education or Teacher Assistant with 2 years experience or more.
