Position: FRONT DESK AGENT

THE HOLIDAY INN NEW ORLEANS AIRPORT NORTH LOCATED AT 1300 VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD KENNER, LA IS HIRING FOR A FRONT DESK AGENT.

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team for the swing and evening shift The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) and demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Manage all aspects of guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using Opera PMS.

  • Reservations Management: Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Payment Processing: Accurately process payments, handle cash, and reconcile daily transactions.

  • Communication: Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to address guest needs and ensure seamless operations.

  • Reporting: Generate and review end-of-shift reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

  • Security Awareness: Monitor access and maintain security by following company policies and procedures.

  • Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Experience:

    • Front desk experience in a hotel environment would be a plus but not required..

    • Proficiency with Opera Property Management System is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Technical

    Skills:

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer operations.

  • Other:

    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

    • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.

  • Light lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
