The PLC Programmer is a full-time, on-site role located in Kenner, LA. The programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining PLC programs and related automated systems for Milnor’s laundry equipment. Daily tasks will include analyzing system requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, updating existing programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless machine performance. The role also involves conducting system tests, preparing technical documentation, and providing programming support during manufacturing and installation processes.
Qualifications- Proficiency in PLC Programming with experience in structured text programming. Experience with B&R PLCs a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills for automated systems and industrial machine control.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, electric circuits, and schematics including sensor interfacing and motor controls.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and technical support personnel.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial automation is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
