The RoleOur client is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer or Embedded Systems Programmer to support the development of control systems for commercial and industrial equipment. This role focuses on embedded firmware development, with opportunities to work on Linux-based systems, HMI interfaces, and machine automation. The position is ideal for candidates early in their career who are eager to gain hands‑on experience in real-world industrial applications.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for a rail system
- Write, test, and debug PLC code
- Assist in integration of software with hardware components (sensors, motors, control boards)
- Support development of HMI interfaces for machine control and diagnostics
- Participate in system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering
- Support production and field teams in diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Maintain documentation and version control for software and system changes
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience
- Proficiency in C programming
- Experience with embedded firmware development
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
- Familiarity with Visual Studio programming
- Exposure to HMI design
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming or industrial automation
- Competitive salary: $70,000 – $80,000+ depending on experience
