yOur client is a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an EHS Specialist to design, implement, and oversee programs that protect employees and the environment. This role balances hands‑on regulatory compliance with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to foster a proactive culture of prevention across the facility
Core ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance
- ce Ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA, LDEQ, Parish, and Municipal require men
- ts Submit permit applications and manage all regulatory reporting obligatio
Safety Program Leadership
- ip Develop and enforce workplace safety policies including Lockout/Tagout, Powered Industrial Truck, and PPE standar
- nt Champion and participate in CI initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency across manufacturing operatio
- ng Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventive actio
- onLead root cause analysis (RCA) for workplace accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to prevent recurren
Training & Development
- nt Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees and contracto
- nt Manage waste, air emissions, and wastewater quality including all associated regulatory reporti
Emergency Response
- seLead emergency management planning including fire protection protocols and emergency response dril
- ITSSalary: $60,000 – $70,000 depending on experie
- nce

- ENTSMUST have at least 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or fabrication/production environ
- ment Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline prefe
- rred Professional certifications highly preferred: CSP (Certified Safety Professional), EMT, and/or FA/CPR
- /AEDStrong working knowledge of OSHA, LDEQ, and applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulat
- ions Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerP
- oint Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence safety culture at all levels of an organiza
