Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Kenner, Louisiana. This short-term contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounts receivable processes and demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts receivable transactions with precision, ensuring timely and accurate entry.

- Manage commercial collections, following up on outstanding invoices and resolving payment discrepancies.

- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts, maintaining up-to-date records.

- Execute cash collection strategies to optimize revenue and reduce overdue balances.

- Handle billing functions, including the preparation and distribution of invoices.

- Collaborate with team members to identify and address issues impacting receivables.

- Maintain organized documentation of financial activities for auditing purposes.

- Generate reports to monitor accounts receivable performance and provide actionable insights.

- Communicate with clients professionally to address payment concerns and inquiries.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all processes.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable, including commercial collections and cash applications.

- Familiarity with billing functions and cash collection procedures.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to accounts receivable processes.

- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and transactions.

- Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports.

- Knowledge of compliance standards related to financial operations.
