Are you the kind of safety leader who wins people over rather than polices them? We're looking for an experienced EHS Manager to serve as a culture carrier and continuous improvement champion at a manufacturing facility in Kenner, Louisiana. This is a mid-career, people-first leadership role - not a safety cop position. If you've built 5-10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or plant operations, you'll feel right at home here.
You know how to walk the floor, earn genuine respect, and inspire ownership of safety at every level.
What You'll Do
- Build a Culture of Prevention - Influence behavior and embed safety thinking into daily operations. Winning hearts and minds is the job.
- Champion Continuous Improvement - Partner with operations on CI initiatives that drive real gains in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead Safety Programs - Develop and evolve programs in ways that resonate with the people using them.
- Own Regulatory Compliance - Maintain alignment with OSHA, LDEQ, Parish, and Municipal regulations. Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling.
- Assess Risk & Investigate Incidents - Proactively identify hazards and lead root cause analyses focused on fixing systems, not pointing fingers.
- Develop Your People - Deliver training that actually sticks, and lead emergency preparedness planning and drills.
- Manage Environmental Programs - Oversee waste, air emissions, and wastewater quality with full regulatory reporting accountability.
- $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience

What You Bring
- 5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, or plant operations
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- Certifications a plus: CSP, EMT, FA/CPR/AED
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Above all - exceptional people skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement
