Our hospital, founded in 1942, continues to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We are looking for a skilled surgical support professional who will assist the surgeon with optimal patient outcomes and work under the direct supervision of the surgeon in either a circulator or scrub role.
This role provides patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members with assigned responsibilities, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, and coordinates the delivery of the plan of care.

Job Duties- Perform direct and indirect patient care duties.
- Exhibit competencies in caring for patients with respect to age and developmental stage under supervision of staff nurse.
- Communicate with surgeon on any special needs.
- Adapt behavior to specific patient population, including privacy, introduction, explanation, permission, and communication style.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon.
- Ability to adapt to change in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
- 5 years operating room experience (required).
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required).
- Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) (preferred).
- Successful completion of an RNFA program (preferred).
