Hotel Maintenance Technician / Building Technician – Hilton Double Tree

Join our team at the Double Tree New Orleans Airport. We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and keep our property running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and maintaining a high‑quality hotel environment.

Responsibilities
  • General Repairs – Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, laundry equipment, and pool systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance – Complete scheduled PM tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
  • Work Order Management – Respond to work orders promptly and document tasks daily in Quore.
  • Property & Grounds Care – Maintain the building exterior, walkways, landscaping, and overall hotel grounds.
  • Shop Organization – Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and secure.
  • Guest & Team Support – Assist guests and team members with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Safety & Security – Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or emergencies immediately to management.
  • Policy Compliance – Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Maintenance Experience – Prior building, mechanical, or hotel maintenance experience preferred.
  • Independent Work Skills – Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem‑Solving – Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Physical Requirements – Able to lift 60 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work indoors/outdoors.
  • Work Environment – Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
  • Professionalism – Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
