The GCC Tack Driver WS1 safely operates unit to spray/distribute asphalt emulsion or prime at a designated application rate.
- The driver has the ability to perform daily maintenance of the sprayer system.
- Has the ability to keep equipment road‑worthy by maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensures lights are cleaned and meets or exceeds project safety, quality, efficiency, and profit goals for work activities.
- Works with field manager/team lead to ensure GCC has strong crew/teams and promotes the company's vision of being the leader in safety, quality, innovation, and efficiency.
- Leads by example, always professional and aligned with the company’s values of Fair and Ethical Success; the GCC Tack Driver WS1 will be a student and a teacher.
- Seeks knowledge with a culture of continual learning, leveraging all available resources, including industry and professional associations.
- Serves as a mentor and coach to other team members, safely handling routine assignments that require limited judgment.
- Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Stand or walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 lbs.; climb up and down while carrying tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see (naturally or with correction). Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold). See attached Physical Requirements Inventory.
Education GuidelinesHS Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (Class
A) with Haz Mat Endorsements.
Graduation/Successful completion from Certified Driving Academy and 0–3 months driving experience.
Knowledge GuidelinesMust maintain a violation‑free driving record, successfully complete prescribed medical physical, possess basic reading, writing, addition and subtraction skills, and be able to work up to 70 hours per week during high‑peak project times.
