Tax Internship

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing various types of tax returns, such as individual, corporate, partnership, or trust returns. This involves gathering relevant financial information, inputting data into tax software, and verifying accuracy.
  • Tax Research: Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to assist with tax planning and compliance. Compile findings into reports and summaries for review by senior staff.
  • Client Assistance: Aid in responding to client inquiries and requests. This may involve preparing correspondence, explaining tax-related information, and providing support to address client concerns.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate tax files, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly recorded and stored for compliance purposes.
  • Assist with Audits and Reviews: Support the tax team during audits or reviews by gathering and organizing relevant documents and information.
  • Stay Updated on Tax Regulations: Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and contribute to the development of informed tax strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and contribute to the overall success of the tax department.
  • Qualifications:
    • Pursuing a degree in Accounting.
    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations is a plus.
