Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate general ledger and timely financial results.

Key Activities

• Manage all payable functions for the company, including the setup of new payable vendors, processing of vendor invoices, and payments to vendors.
• Ensure customer receivable accounts are maintained properly by the inside sales team and that financial exposure is protected.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of company expenses.
• Manage all aspects of the company’s fixed assets.
• Guide other departments when financial impact is involved, enforcing accounting guidelines and principals.
• Manage the accuracy of inventory values.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance company processes and controls.
• Prepare financial reports
• Prepare analytical reports
• Assist the Controller with monthly/quarterly/yearly financial reporting.
• Assist the Controller with budget planning and forecasting
• Prepare documentation for year-end audit.
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all multi-functional team members are kept informed of accounting changes/objectives.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, accounting software and ERP systems.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Experience in team-based work.

Educations & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• 5+ years of accounting and finance
• Strong analytical and project management skills
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
