Part-time Payroll Specialist – UKG Pro

• Process biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees using UKG Pro
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Post, review, and validate weekly timesheets in Deltek Vantagepoint ERP
• Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and adjustments
• Review and reconcile benefit deductions, missed deductions, prorating calculations, and updates
• Review and reconcile payroll reports before final submission
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Ensure accurate tax treatment for multi-state employees and F-1 visa holders
• Serve as subject matter expert for payroll processes, system functionality, and compliance
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute payroll reports for Finance and HR leadership
• Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, taxable benefits, audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting
• Review payroll tax filings and reconcile payroll tax liabilities
• Coordinate with UKG to resolve notices and discrepancies
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity
• Partner with HR to resolve discrepancies and complex payroll issues
• Report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including advanced hands-on processing in UKG Pro
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, multi-state taxation, and compliance requirements
• High proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, and analysis
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
• Experience with project-based timekeeping or ERP systems such as Deltek, Oracle, or SAP preferred
• Experience supporting a professional services or engineering consulting workforce preferred
• CPP or FPC certification preferred

Demonstrates expertise in payroll processing, compliance with multi-state taxation, and proficiency in payroll systems such as UKG Pro and Deltek Vantagepoint ERP. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for managing payroll accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
