We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Proposal Writer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic and working under deadlines.
Requirements (Duties Include But Are Not Limited)- Lead proposal teams in the preparation and submission of proposals to federal clients.
- Work with Senior Management and teaming partners on proposal preparation.
- Ensure proposals meet all RFP requirements.
- Contribute to development of the bid strategy
- Work with management and technical resources to develop project descriptions for later use on proposals
- Work with technical resources to write technical content for proposals
- Work with employees to develop and update resumes
- Work with in-house recruiter to identify additional potential employees for proposals.
- Ensure the continuous update of opportunities data base
- Ensure the implementation of lessons learned for assigned bids.
- Maintain bid information and filing.
- Assist with development of marketing materials and Statement of Qualifications
- Assist with development of cost proposals
- Bachelors or Master's degree in related field.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in writing proposals with a measurable success rate.
- Experience working on proposals for the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Defense Health Agency (DHA) preferred.
- Experience writing proposals for federal procurements, particularly DOD/DHA.
- Experience preparing project cost estimates and ability to work with numbers and spreadsheets.
- Experience with government contracts and terms and conditions.
- Experience working on large procurements and/or as a federal contract officer is a plus.
