United Contractor Services is a national specialty subcontractor self-performing commercial interior construction across the country. Our Division 10 Specialties group handles toilet partitions and accessories, lockers, wall and corner protection, visual display boards, signage, fire extinguisher cabinets, and operable partitions on large-scale commercial projects. The RoleThis is a support-level project management position on our Division 10 team. You will work under a Project Manager and alongside field leadership, handling submittals, procurement, scheduling input, and documentation that keep specialty scopes moving from award through close-out. It is a strong fit for someone with a few years of construction experience who wants to grow into a full PM seat.
Day-to-DayResponsibilities
- Prepare and track submittals, product data, and shop drawings for Division 10 scopes
- Write and log RFIs; follow up until answers are received and distributed
- Assist with material buyout, purchase orders, vendor coordination, and delivery scheduling
- Maintain project documentation: change orders, logs, meeting minutes, and closeout packages
- Support schedule development and update look-aheads with input from field leadership
- Track material lead times and flag procurement risks early
- Coordinate with GCs, vendors, and internal field teams on installation sequencing
- Visit jobsites to verify field conditions, material staging, and installation progress
- Assist the PM with cost tracking, billing support, and change management
- 1–3 years of construction experience in project engineering, project coordination, or assistant project management
- Familiarity with Division 10 Specialties products and installation requirements, or closely related interiors scopes
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Working knowledge of ADA requirements as they apply to accessories, partitions, and signage
- Comfort with Procore, Bluebeam, and standard scheduling and estimating platforms
- Organized documentation habits and follow-through on open items
- Clear written and verbal communication with clients, vendors, and field crews
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent field experience
