The History and Philosophy Department prepares students for adaptable, fulfilling careers by teaching transferable knowledge and skills through research, analysis, and effective communication. The Norman J. Radow College of Humanities & Social Sciences houses more than 80 programs and over 8,100 degree-seeking students, with a focus on workforce readiness in the humanities and social sciences.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of History in the Department of History and Philosophy, with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contract.

• Teach general education undergraduate courses in history
• Participation in department and campus activities
• Teach courses of variable sizes and modalities, including large class sizes

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

• A terminal degree, or foreign equivalent, in history or a related field is required at the time of hire.
• Record of teaching undergraduate students in history

• Experience teaching in different modalities, such as online or hybrid courses
• Record of past teaching survey courses in world history
• Effectiveness in teaching different course sizes, including large classes
