Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

EECE faculty are recognized at local, state, national, and international levels for transformative, impactful, cutting-edge teaching and research on innovative pedagogical practices, interdisciplinary and global learning, educator well-being and curriculum with real-world applications.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the science content for teachers or science methods for elementary teachers
• Collaborating with program and science education faculty
• Gathering and scoring necessary assessment data for accreditation purposes
• Participating in faculty meetings, program meetings and science education meetings

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Science (Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology for ISCI 2001 or Physics and/or Chemistry for ISCI 2002) or a closely related discipline

OR

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Science Education with 18 graduate credit hours in science content (Biology, Environment Science, Ecology, Geology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field) or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the science content (Biology, Environment Science, Ecology, Geology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field) is required at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Science Education with 18 graduate credit hours in science content (Biology, Environment Science, Ecology, Geology, Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field) or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.

• Experience as a K-5 teacher.
• Experience coaching or teaching preservice or inservice teachers
• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
• Record of past teaching undergraduate courses
