Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure‑track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the School of Government and International Affairs with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Public Administration.
- Teaching courses of variable size and modalities, including large class sizes.
- Service to department, college, University, and profession.
- Scholarship/Research expectations:
Maintaining a steady research and publication agenda on one or more subfields of Public Administration (e.g., budgeting, local government administration, policy studies).
- A Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent in Public Administration or a related discipline, is required at the time of hire.
- Experience teaching in‑person, online or hybrid courses.
- Evidence of scholarship or potential of scholarly activities pertaining to one or more subfields of Public Administration.
- Record of past teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Likelihood of obtaining extramural funding.
- Ability to teach one or more of the following areas: budgeting, research methods, governmental relations, capstone, nonprofit administration, or state and local governance and administration.
