Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Social Work and Human Services for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in the Human Services Program in the teaching disciplines of Human Services, Nonprofit Management, and/or Child Advocacy Studies.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Children and Youth Studies or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
- Evidence of teaching and working with various community agencies.
- Demonstrated understanding (i.e., professional experience and theoretical knowledge) of the field of Human Services.
- Prior teaching at the university/college level.
- Professional work experience in human services and/or nonprofit management.
- The ability to teach one or more of the following courses:
Research Methods;
Aging and the Family;
Dynamics of Family Violence;
Death, Dying and Bereavement;
Child Maltreatment;
Child Advocacy;
Nonprofit Management; or Human Services Field Experience Instruction. - Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
