Job Responsibilities ) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Supports department leadership and staff in to develop and implement technical, pedagogical, and accessible digital courses ks collaboratively with other development team members to review online and hybrid courses based on college and university policies and procedures. Provides general support to faculty during digital course design, development, and facilitation.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides support for faculty teaching, using technologies, developing, and revising digital courses

2. Supports the Academic Web Accessibility team to design, develop, and implement accessible learning

3. Supports instructional designers in sustainable course design initiatives

4. Supports the creation and delivery of professional faculty development resources

5. Supports the creation and maintenance of educational web resources for faculty/staff

6. Assists with service requests for instructional technology, pedagogy, learning resources, etc.

7. Assists with course reviews based on Quality Matters and college-based review policies

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Instructional Design, Technical Communications or Educational related field

Required Experience

One (1) year of related work experience in a teaching, technical writing, instructional design, learning or technology center, or corporate training

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in higher education and technology-enhanced teaching and learning

Knowledge and experience with Desire2

Learn Brightspace

Experience developing and reviewing digital courses in higher education

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES

Able to pick up skills associated with other computer applications such as project management applications, customer service applications, learning management systems (LMS)

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE

Experience with at least one learning management system such as D2L Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc.

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)

Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
