(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Principal responsibility is the performance of the Registrar's duties for maintenance and long term (digital) retention of student academic records. Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for major functional areas within the Office of the Registrar. Functions typically include but are not limited to, management of personnel, imaging processes, calculation and GPA verification, academic standings, academic honors, degree auditing compliance, curriculum, commencement, transfer evaluation, and maintenance of system involving these processes.

Responsible for the education and enforcement of academic regulations, adherence to state and federal regulations, and serving on various division and university committees. Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service, to students ensuring a high quality, efficient and friendly in-person, and online encounters. Interprets and applies academic, state, and federal regulations and serves as a key partner to academic and administrative stakeholders across the institution.

Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for assigned functional areas
  • Reviews, implements, and enforces academic policies related to curriculum, graduation, degree audits, transfer evaluations, articulation agreements and prior learning assessments and credits
  • Responsible for the implementation and management of records policies and procedures focused on student success
  • Oversees and monitors processes related to graduation audits, degree certification, and transfer evaluations
  • Coordinates all student processes that relate to the Registrar functions
  • Responsible for system maintenance, data accuracy, updates and testing, table, and data validation
  • Reviews all curriculum proposals and provides guidance and recommendations to the department, Academic Affairs, and curriculum committees
  • Executes reports related to record audits, interprets results, delivers analysis, and needed resolutions
  • Actively engages with the leadership, proposes ideas and solutions for successful progress of the operation and enhance a student-centered culture of service
  • Responsible for the supervision, training, and performance management of assigned staff and related departmental processes
  • Works collaboratively with academic departments in issues or concerns related to registrar processes and student progression and may serve on various division and university committees
  • Ensures compliance with all required federal, state and university policies and procedures that govern articulation agreements, graduation, degree audits, curriculum integrity, and student records
  • Continuously reviews and updates the department website and other communications for clarity, simplicity, and current information
  • Advises students, parents, and faculty, and administrators regarding escalated concerns, questions, and resolutions
  • Assists with the degree evaluation processes and conferral of degrees including all communications with students, advisors, and faculty
  • Participates in and assists with oversight of the commencement program, degree ordering and printing, commencement rehearsal, and planning of ceremonies each semester
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field.

Required Experience

Seven (7) years of experience related to the maintenance of student records, registrar responsibilities, or closely related filed including previous supervisory or management experience.
