Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Health Promotion and Physical Education in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education with a preferred start date of August 2026. The area of concentration includes coaching, health and physical education teacher certification, and interdisciplinary health and physical activity leadership. This is a nine‑month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the Health and Physical Activity Leadership program, including the Coaching Concentration and/or Health and Physical Education Teacher Certification Concentration.
  • Service to department, college, university, and professional community is expected.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Health and Physical Education or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach classes in Advanced Coaching Methods. Experience as a coach at the high school varsity level or higher.
  • Certified Health and Physical Education Teacher with interests in Early Childhood Physical Education and Adapted PE.
  • Ability to contribute to program leadership.
  • Record of teaching undergraduate courses.
