Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
A childcare teacher must meet the qualifications of the state of Georgia as well as the following:
- the ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy;
- the ability to interact closely with children at their level in our education program;
- the ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times;
- the ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary);
- the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school faculty, children and parents;
- the ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting with evacuations during emergencies;
- the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare;
- be passionate about working with children;
- excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance, encouraging empathetic and respectful feelings for others and the environment through positive modeling.
- Establish positive and effective family relationships, encouraging families to become an integral part of their children’s learning experiences and providing opportunities such as conferences to involve them.
- Prepare a Daily Activity Report for each child.
- Develop lesson plans.
- Perform child observations and document their portfolios using appropriate assessment tools.
