Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

A childcare teacher must meet the qualifications of the state of Georgia as well as the following:

• the ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy;
• the ability to interact closely with children at their level in our education program;
• the ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times;
• the ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary);
• the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school faculty, children and parents;
• the ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting with evacuations during emergencies;
• the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare;
• be passionate about working with children;
• excellent written & verbal communication skills.

• Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance, encouraging empathetic and respectful feelings for others and the environment through positive modeling.
• Establish positive and effective family relationships, encouraging families to become an integral part of their children’s learning experiences and providing opportunities such as conferences to involve them.
• Prepare a Daily Activity Report for each child.
• Develop lesson plans.
• Perform child observations and document their portfolios using appropriate assessment tools.
