Kennesaw State University is seeking qualified candidates for a pool of open‑rank, part‑time and limited‑term faculty positions in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education for the Health and Physical Activity Leadership Program for the academic year 2025‑2026. Positions are semester‑by‑semester on an as‑needed basis and will be located in Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in the health & physical activity leadership program, including but not limited to HPE 3450:
Curriculum, Instruction and Management for Early Childhood Physical Education, HPAL 3750:
Adapted Physical Education, and HPE 4850:
Student Teaching in Health and Physical Education (P‑12). Courses are delivered in person and teaching assignments are based on earned degrees and the SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
- A minimum of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Health and Physical Education, an MAT, or a closely related discipline, at the time of hire.
- Alternatively, a minimum of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline, at the time of hire.
- Health and Physical Education Teacher Certification.
- Experience teaching kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Experience in higher education teaching.
- Experience in student‑teacher supervision.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Cover Letter reflecting the required and preferred qualifications and a statement of teaching philosophy.
- Unofficial transcripts (official transcripts and official international course‑by‑course evaluations are required upon hire).
