Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (for the Health and Physical Activity Leadership Program) for the academic year . These positions are on an as needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials.

These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the health & physical activity leadership program which include, but are not limited to HPE 3450:
    Curriculum, Instruction and Management for Early Childhood Physical Education, HPAL 3750:
    Adapted Physical Education, and HPE 4850:
    Student Teaching in Health and Physical Education (P-12). These courses are delivered in person.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Health and Physical Education, an MAT or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health and PE Teacher Certification
  • Experience teaching in kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Experience in teaching in higher education
  • Experience in student teacher supervision
