Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security in the Department of Information Systems and Security, with a preferred start date of August 2027. This nine-month contracted position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as data analytics, database management, software development, data mining, and related topics.
Provide service to the Department, College, and University.
Engage in research and scholarly activity in the area of expertise.
Teaching load is typically 3/3; summer support for new faculty may be available for up to 3 years.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Qualifications

Required:

A doctorate in Business Administration, Information Systems, Management Science, or an equivalent or related discipline at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate from an AACSB-accredited college/school.
Prior teaching experience (in-person, online, or hybrid).
Interest or documentation of teaching healthcare IS or related courses.
Record of research accomplishments and scholarly publications related to Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Analytics, or Data Analytics.
