Job SummaryKennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security in the Department of Information Systems and Security, with a preferred start date of August 2027. This nine-month contracted position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as data analytics, database management, software development, data mining, and related topics.
- Provide service to the Department, College, and University.
- Engage in research and scholarly activity in the area of expertise.
- Teaching load is typically 3/3; summer support for new faculty may be available for up to 3 years.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Qualifications- Required:
A doctorate in Business Administration, Information Systems, Management Science, or an equivalent or related discipline at the time of hire.
- Doctorate from an AACSB-accredited college/school.
- Prior teaching experience (in-person, online, or hybrid).
- Interest or documentation of teaching healthcare IS or related courses.
- Record of research accomplishments and scholarly publications related to Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Analytics, or Data Analytics.
