Department InformationThe Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education prepares the next generation of health professionals through engaged learning and innovative applied research. Our programs include Integrated Health Sciences, Public Health, and Health and Physical Activity Leadership (including Health & Physical Education Teacher Certification and Coaching). We also offer graduate coursework in the growing field of mHealth.
Job SummaryKennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (Public Health Program & Integrated Health Sciences Program) for the academic year. Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at hire and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in public health or integrated health science, including health systems, policy and healthcare administration.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Public Health, Health Science, Health Services Administration or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
OR
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
