Job SummaryKennesaw State University is now accepting applications for afull-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of History in the Department of History and Philosophy with apreferred start date of August 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in History,Interdisciplinary Studies, and/or Conflict Management, including
Conflict in Africa, African history, world history, historicalmethods, research seminars and related courses. Faculty are expected to teach courses of variable size and modalities,including large class sizes, and on the Kennesaw and/or Marietta campuses. - Mentor graduate students in KSU's International Conflict Management and Interdisciplinary Studies programs.
- Produce and disseminate high-quality, meaningful scholarship inhistory or a closely related field
- Pursue external funding to support research and scholarship
- Serve the Department/College/University/professionalcommunity
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOCFaculty Credentials Guidelines.
