Overview
The Energy Group is seeking an EAP (Estimating Analysis and Performance) Engineer. The EAP Engineer will provide strategy for the Business Development team and leadership to the Design Engineering team. This role will be responsible for early promotion and development of optimal technical and economic value solutions to assist ENERCON clients with their strategic business decisions. This position has tremendous growth opportunities as our Group interfaces with multiple ENERCON disciplines and groups to ensure the right solutions are offered and the design is executed effectively.
As a member of the New Power Generation business unit, the successful candidate will work cross-functionally with members of the power delivery, environmental, energy, and Chiefs engineering groups. This role can sit out of the following locations:
- Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta)
- FT Worth, TX
- Technical Support &
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work alongside the Business Development team by providing proactive technical support using analytical tools and technology insight. Collaborate cross-functionally with members of the Power Delivery, Generating Engineering, and Chiefs groups - Project & Program Assistance:
Provide daily assistance for key energy projects involving gas turbines, reciprocating engines, plant upgrades, and distributed energy technologies (e.g., fuel cells, batteries, energy storage) - Strategic & Business Development:
Aid in developing business management strategies. Manage a variety of customer relationships and coordinate with Business Development and Engineering to obtain necessary buy-in and approvals - Customer Solutions & Presentations:
Develop technical customer solutions and present results at customer locations - Financial Analysis:
Develop project cash flow forecasting and proformas - Site Evaluation:
Conduct site visits for detailed information gathering, as necessary in proposal development
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working on power generation technologies
- PE preferred but not required
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate complex data sets into clear and concise visuals which can be used for decision making
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines
- Willing to travel to customer sites and lead technical discussions
- Communicate clearly and effectively: verbally, in writing and through presentations; successfully interfacing with internal and external teams
- Ability to perform utility interconnect studies for power generation

When salary range is listed it reflects typical compensation for this role based on level and location. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, and education.
