With almost 2600 students, the Mechanical Engineering department at SPCEET is one of the largest in the college. It offers undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, an MS in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering. Faculty lead research and support hands-on, project-based learning, preparing students for diverse job opportunities.
Job SummaryKennesaw State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month, contracted position to be performed in Georgia.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Service to the Department/College/University/professional community is expected.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
- A PhD degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline at the time of hire.
- Expertise to teach courses in Aerospace Engineering such as Spacecraft Design, Spacecraft Dynamics and Controls, Spacecraft propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and their laboratories.
- Teaching familiarity with face-to-face, online or hybrid modalities.
- Record of past teaching Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering industry.
