Category Specialist H&W - Kennesaw, GA (On-site)
Working within the Procurement department, to bring regional responsibility along with respective GCM for executing tasks and sourcing, as well as maintaining materials, at the highest standard which support S&T, CD&D and our customers.
Job PurposeWorking within the Procurement department, to bring regional responsibility along with respective GCM for executing tasks and sourcing, as well as maintaining materials, at the highest standard which support S&T, CD&D and our customers.
Main Responsibilities- Regionally responsible, together with the respective GCM, for finding and sourcing raw materials which support S&T and CD&D in developing new products to meet our customers’ expectations
- Implement new processes/systems to support departmental goals and projects. Manage workflow, scheduling, tracking, change management, evaluating and ensuring all action-items are accomplished.
- Raise, investigate and resolve supplier Non-conformances and material failures in the company’s best interest.
- Manage selected spend/ sub- categories/ suppliers/ items based on the overarching purchasing strategy
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and execute agreed contractual terms for non-core direct materials
- Support the GCM with information to identify & manage projects to generate cost savings opportunities across the organization
- Execute reporting tasks (e.g. Price movements; initiatives & savings tracking; etc) for the spend under management
- Require & maintain material samples, as well as all related activities (e.g. raw material documentation, supplier questionnaires etc)
- Perform new material creation tasks and support elimination of old materials
- Other administrative task such as internal claim management, master data maintenance (e.g. categorization, pricing, etc.)
- Overseeing contract creation and ensuring contractual compliance
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Good to have familiarity to AI tools and applications
- Bachelor degree in a technical field, economics or business administration
- 2 year experience in procurement (preferably ingredients and other raw materials)
- Self- driven team player with strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to set up priorities and manage aggressive assignments
- Customer solution focused
- Negotiation skills
- Skilled in cost/benefit analysis and alternative decision making
