Electronics Engineer (Embedded / Firmware)
A growing, industry-leading aftermarket solutions provider in Kennesaw, GA is looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer to join their engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of embedded firmware development and hardware troubleshooting, supporting a high-throughput repair and remanufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate that enjoys owning the full technical stack — writing firmware, debugging boards at the bench, and improving processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development and board-level troubleshooting
Proficiency in embedded C and/or Python on microcontroller platforms
Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, rework station)
Ability to read and work from schematics; schematic reconstruction experience a plus but not required
Strong communication skills and ability to document technical work clearly

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems
Perform board-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure diagnosis on complex PCB assemblies
Support redesign and modernization efforts on legacy hardware using current components
Build and maintain automated test setups for diagnostics and board validation
Mentor junior engineers and technicians on firmware programming and troubleshooting best practices
Identify and drive process improvements to reduce costs, minimize downtime, and improve first-pass yield
