The Mechanical Engineering department at SPCEET is one of the largest in the college. It offers undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, an MS in Mechanical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering. The department features distinguished faculty, hands-on and project-based learning, extensive undergraduate research, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the  academic year. Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hire and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work in the state of Georgia.

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in solid mechanics, aerospace engineering, and/or capstone design.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

To teach undergraduate courses:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

OR

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

To Teach Graduate Courses

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.

• Experience with FEA software (Solid Works, ANSYS or NASTRAN)
• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
