Electronics Engineer (Embedded / Firmware)

A growing, industry-leading aftermarket solutions provider in Kennesaw, GA is looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer to join their engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of embedded firmware development and hardware troubleshooting, supporting a high-throughput repair and remanufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate that enjoys owning the full technical stack — writing firmware, debugging boards at the bench, and improving processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development and board-level troubleshooting
• Proficiency in embedded C and/or Python on microcontroller platforms
• Hands-on experience with standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, rework station)
• Ability to read and work from schematics; schematic reconstruction experience a plus but not required
• Strong communication skills and ability to document technical work clearly

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems
• Perform board-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure diagnosis on complex PCB assemblies
• Support redesign and modernization efforts on legacy hardware using current components
• Build and maintain automated test setups for diagnostics and board validation
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on firmware programming and troubleshooting best practices
• Identify and drive process improvements to reduce costs, minimize downtime, and improve first-pass yield
