As the Engineering Supervisor you will supervise entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of support employees in Controls Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of controls engineers responsible for delivering automation and monitoring solution for a large telecom customer.
- Manage and assist in developing and implementing design standards on drawing, software and graphics controls package.
- Manage ongoing standards and process alignment with the rest of the engineering department.
- Help train, develop and guide the entire team through training, direct supervision and work product review.
- Perform regular goal setting, progress reviews and assist the engineering manager in annual merit and promotion planning.
- Work with the Operations team to maintain project task assignments and ensure timely and high quality of engineering deliverables.
- Manage backlogs and projected bandwidth requirements for the account pipeline.
- Submit material order forms for all project required materials to the purchasing group, if required.
- Utilize company or customer standard programs for designing the graphic function blocks for assigned projects.
- Tests the project's programs to ensure they meet the specified sequences of operation and that they perform according to industry standards.
- Create project database utilizing company and customer standards.
- Completes each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while trying to maintain budgetary guidelines.
- BA/BS Engineering degree
- 4+ years of control engineering supervisor experience
- 2+ years of experience with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, etc.
- MA/MS Engineering degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong organization skills
- Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
- Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
- Prior personnel management experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
