Mechanical Engineer

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer I to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA
. In this role, you will be responsible for propeller development and project management.

• Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements.
• Design, develop, and evaluate propeller prototypes.
• Mechanical design using 3D CAD, FEA analysis and fluid dynamics.
• Coordinating project schedules and resource allocation across multiple development sites in the United States.
• Preparing documentation of product development history and critical analysis results. Automate documentation where possible.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Proficient with 3D Modeling and 2D Drawings in Solid Works, NX or other 3D tools.
• Knowledge of marine industry product requirements, propeller performance characteristics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics.
• Coursework and/or project work using FEA is preferred.
• Strong interest in developing project management and leadership skills.
